Field TDR Cable Tester

KANE GeoTech, Inc. has developed a lightweight field TDR unit using the Campbell Scientific TDR100 cable tester. The unit includes a moisture resistant case, and rechargeable battery. The TDR100 can be easily removed for use in a remote monitoring system. All necessary software including Campbell Scientific software for acquiring TDR signatures by laptop computer and TDRPlot 2000© for plotting TDR signatures in a report quality format is included. TDRPlot© Charting Software

TDRPlot© is a Windows™ program developed by KANE GeoTech, Inc. to quickly convert both Tektronix data files and Campbell Scientific, Inc. TDR100 files into a graphing format. TDRPlot© automatically opens DPLOT, an included public domain Windows™ program, and plots selected data as vertical cable signatures. The user can then edit and customize the signatures for including in reports using DPLOT software. It is necessary to have DPLOT installed on the computer. 

TDRPlot© is available in Windows™ versions from KANE GeoTech, Inc. or its distributors. Purchase includes a copy of DPLOT. The package, along with instruction, is included with all short courses.

TDRPlot© consists of four tabs. The File List tab allows the user to select the data files to be converted. These can either be Tektronix 1502 files or Campbell Scientific TDR100 files. The user adds files to the list that will be plotted. The DPlot tab provides the DPLOT charting program with initial information to label the titles and axes of the plotted data. The actual data can be viewed using the Data tab. The Setup tab allows the user to change default settings and directories for the location of data files.
