KANE provided geotechnical engineering support for rockfall hazard mitigation at Seminoe Dam, focusing on slopes above the spillway inlet and critical gate structures. Rockfall events and deteriorated stabilization systems posed a risk to dam operations, access, and personnel safety.
The rock slope mitigation measures addressed ongoing rockfall hazards, improved slope stability, and reduced risk to spillway operations and personnel. The solutions were developed in accordance with USBR safety standards and project-specific constraints.
