Following the catastrophic Montecito debris flow events, KANE was retained to evaluate debris flow hazards and develop engineered mitigation solutions for affected areas.
KANE developed a comprehensive debris flow mitigation program. The project provided a technical basis for implementing engineered debris flow mitigation measures and established a framework for construction quality assurance during project implementation to ensure the reduction of future debris flow and improve community resilience.
